York County

A SNOWY OWL continued to be seen at the Nubble Lighthouse in Cape Neddick as of the 11th.

Another SNOWY OWL was seen at 461 Ocean Ave in Wells on the evening of the 10th.

On the morning of the 9th, a SNOWY OWL was seen atop a house along Goose Rocks Beach in Biddeford.

A PACIFIC LOON was reported in the Saco River, visible from the University of New England, on the 9th and 10th.

Up to three SNOWY OWLS were seen around Biddeford Pool this week.

Greater Portland

The Indian Island Nature Preserve on Chebeague Island was regularly hosting a SNOWY OWL through at least the 9th.

Midcoast

Continuing from January 2nd, an immature RED-HEADED WOODPECKER was still being reported along Whiskeag Road in Bath through this week. Most observations are close to the Whiskeag Creek, near the address: 166 Whiskeag Road, Bath.

Of regional interest, a deceased BARRED OWL was photographed on Monhegan Island on the 8th. A SNOWY OWL continued to be seen on the island as of the 11th.

Penobscot Bay

At least one of the two SNOWY OWLS at the Owl’s Head Airport was still being seen as of the 8th.
