2022 Update:  Summer day camps
Thanks for a great summer! Day camps run throughout the summer at Gilsland Farm Audubon Center (Falmouth) and Fields Pond Audubon Center (Holden). We offer week-long sessions for both preschool (3-5) and school-age children (completed grades K-5) that encourage hands-on exploration of the natural world.  Due to continued uncertainty related to COVID-19, we may still choose to cancel programs should safety or program quality warrant it. 2022 themes included:
Wing It!
Why doesn’t a woodpecker get a concussion? How can a falcon fly so fast? Why do crows always bother predatory birds? Hone your “owl eyes” to find a new feathered friend during this week-long, winged adventure and find out what birds might be telling us about the natural world!
Amazing Animal Adaptations
Animal Superheros are all around us!  Through hands-on activities, games, guided explorations and experiments, we’ll learn about the amazing ways Maine’s wildlife use their physical and behavioral adaptations to survive.
Buzz, Flutter, and Crawl
Join us for a fun-filled week exploring the fascinating world of insects. At BUG CAMP we’ll learn many reasons to “love bugs” as we explore our insect neighbors through a variety of games, crafts, nature walks, and science activities.

Camp Cancellation Policy

  • If a camp session is cancelled by Maine Audubon, attendees will be notified and full refunds will be issued.
  • If camp registration is cancelled by the attendee, no refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 14 days of the start of the camp session. For cancellations made more than 14 days in advance, refunds will be issued minus a $30 processing fee.
  • For cancellations resulting from exposure to COVID-19 or suspected COVID-19 symptoms, refunds will be issued minus a $30 processing fee.

Program proceeds benefit the work of Maine Audubon.
