Loon Rafts & Look Out for Loons: A Field Trip at the Together for Healthy Lakes Conference

Join Maine Audubon’s Loon Restoration Project Director Tracy Hart and Maine Lakes’ Executive Director Susan Gallo for a loon tour and Q & A session on China Lake! See an artificial loon nesting platform, learn how to monitor the nesting success of breeding loons and tell “how close is too close” to a loon, and find out how you can be part of protecting loons through the Maine Loon Restoration Project. This gathering is part of an annual statewide lake conference, “Together for Healthy Lakes”, cohosted by Maine Lakes and the Lake Stewards of Maine.
