Homeschool Naturalist Program – Spring Session

Two Thursdays of the month, 10 am-12 pm

April 11 & 25
May 2 & 16

Come join the Fields Pond Audubon Center Homeschool Naturalists and build your ecological literacy to observe the wonders of nature awakening around us. From the emergence of spring ephemeral flowers to the return of migratory birds and the bustling activity of nest preparation, there’s so much to discover and appreciate on our sanctuary trails.

Our program combines study and hiking along the trails, where we’ll search for signs of the season, from the emergence of spring ephemeral flowers to the return of migratory birds and the bustling activity of nest preparation. Along the way, we’ll also delve into the fascinating world of watersheds, learning about aquatic species and the crucial role they play in our ecosystems. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with nature and deepen your understanding of the natural world around us!

The Homeschool Naturalists program is offered as a series of four different two-hour programs at the Fields Pond Audubon Center for children ages 8-12.

Participants can sign up for the entire four-class series for $40 member or $50 nonmember. Otherwise, each individual session is $12 members and $15 nonmembers. Drop ins are welcomed, but please call ahead to confirm there is space available.
