Spring Bird Walk for Beginners at Gilsland Farm (Wednesdays)
Along with our weekly bird walk at Gilsland Farm, we’re happy to offer a free, twice-monthly bird walk that will be beginner-focused. If you’re new to birding or have never been on a bird walk before, this is a great opportunity to get introduced to the hobby and learn some of the more common species around us. We’ll have a few extra binoculars to loan out and can give some lessons on how best to use them. If you have your own please bring them.
This program is for true beginner birders. If you have been on any Maine Audubon bird walks in the past, we ask that you join us on the weekly Thursday morning walks and allow new birders this chance to participate.
These walks are free (donations appreciated!) but please sign up here so we can contact you if anything changes due to weather or other safety concerns.
The Beginner Bird Walks are led by Seasonal Staff Naturalist Andy Kapinos.
Wednesdays, 3/15, 4/12, 5/10, 4-6 pm
