Forests, Fish, Birds and Climate Change
This in-person presentation is part of the Waterford Climate Conversations series. The program will introduce birders and others interested in forests, birds, and wildlife to the global significance of the Maine Woods to breeding birds, wild trout, and other wildlife; different forest types and habitat features that various birds need; 20 conservation priority bird species; how climate change is already affecting birds and may affect birds in the future; and discuss ways to enhance habitat for birds and other wildlife through conservation and ecological forestry.
