Native Plants Tree & Shrub Sale Opens

In an effort to get more native plants into the ground in the cooler earlier days of spring, we’re expanding our plant sale by offering almost 50 varieties of native trees and shrubs for the first three weeks of May. Our inventory is more diverse than ever with many plants we’ve never before carried!

Some of the plants we’re particularly excited about include:

Aronia melanocarpa, Black Chokeberry

Ceanothus americanus, New Jersey Tea

Clethra alnifolia, Summersweet

Lindera benzoin, Spicebush

Swida sericea, Red-Osier Dogwood

Logistics: If you’ve purchased plants online with us before, it’s the same format as always.. When you purchase plants via shop.mainenativeplants.org, you will have to schedule a pick up time at Gilsland Farm or Fields Pond. Our online scheduling system will show a variety of available times and slots for pick ups, specifically Thursdays & Fridays.
