Browntail Moth Management Webinar
Many in Maine are familiar with the nonnative browntail moth due to its itchy effects during an outbreak. This insect has actually been in Maine for over 100 years, but many things have changed since then. During this program, we will discuss the history, biology, and ecology of browntail moth, and highlight some of the research being done to monitor and manage this pest. The presenter, Angela Mech, is an Assistant Professor of Forest Entomology at the University of Maine, where the majority of her research program is focused on browntail moths.
