A new day for maineaudubon1.wpengine.com

We’re excited to welcome you to Maine Audubon’s redesigned home on the web. Whatever brings you here — and whatever device you’re using to visit — this site will help you explore our wide array of programs, events, and news about our work in support of Maine’s wildlife and habitat.

As you click around, you’ll find all sorts of interesting things, from 360-degree sanctuary tours and news on the latest rare bird sightings to updates on our work with Piping Plovers and tips on getting involved in citizen advocacy.

This site is also built to deliver our content clearly and cleanly, whether you’re on a desktop or a mobile device. And it weaves in images and multimedia that help illustrate our work and programs.

So, please take a look around. Here are a few highlights to be sure you see during your visit:

  • Our new “Naturalist HQ” is a hub of wildlife information and resources. You can ask us a question, or even submit your own observations of the natural world.
  • Check out the conservation projects where you can participate by collecting data as a citizen scientist. This page also includes a list of citizen scientist resources and tools.
  • The first time you register for an event or program, you’ll need to create an account in our new events registration system (if you’re a member, you’ll receive a 20% discount at checkout). The next time you register, your information will be saved in your account and the process will be that much easier.
  • We have a 360-degree aerial tour (created for us this summer by Dudley Warner) for each of our eight sanctuaries. Take a minute to zoom around over each (especially East Point — you won’t regret it).

Websites are always evolving, and ours is no exception. One of the best things about the new site is that it is built to be a platform on which we can grow. Your feedback and reactions to these new changes will be integral in helping us figure out what form that growth should take. Please share any questions or comments you have with us at feedback@maineaudubon.org.

Thank you for visiting, and for supporting our work in support of Maine’s wildlife and habitat!
