York County
A CLAY-COLORED SPARROW continues to be seen at the Kennebunk Plains on the north side of Route 99.
Greater Portland
On the 17th, a BLACK-NECKED STILT was photographed in the pannes off the Eastern Trail through the Scarborough Marsh. The bird could be seen from the trail with patience and was still being reported at the end of this period. The SEASIDE SPARROW was still present here throughout the week. A WHITE-FACED IBIS and TRICOLORED HERON continued at various locations around the Scarborough Marsh.
Midcoast
On the 14th, a WHITE-WINGED DOVE was seen on Monhegan Island.
Penobscot Bay
A female WILSON’S PHALAROPE was at the Weskeag Marsh in South Thomaston on the 13th.
Central Maine
On the 17th, an AMERICAN THREE-TOED WOODPECKER was seen at the Nesowadnehunk Campground in Baxter State Park. The male PAINTED BUNTING visiting a private yard in Levant was still being seen as of the 12th.
Downeast
A photo taken last week revealed a PACIFIC LOON was present at West Quoddy Head State Park on the 9th.
Northern Maine
REDHEADS continue to be reported from Lake Josephine in Easton this week.
