Maine Audubon is pleased to announce the selection of 26 Maine-based artists who will participate in the 2022 Brush with Nature: Plein Air Painting Event and Art Auction fundraiser. We received twice as many applicants as last year and are excited to see this event grow. Thanks to Christian Adame, Peggy L. Osher Director of Learning and Community Collaboration at the Portland Museum of Art, for jurying the submissions.
This year, we hope you will be inspired to create in our sanctuaries along with the artists. Join us during the public painting weekend, August 27 and 28, to watch and support the artists at work. We’ll have family-friendly art and nature activities to get you engaged creatively with nature as well!
The 26 resulting paintings will be available to preview online and at Gilsland Farm in Falmouth from September 18 through September 29, followed by a live auction event on Thursday, September 29. More details to come in July.
