Solar-Panels-300x192Maine Audubon supports the comprehensive solar legislation that wasannounced recently. We need you to help us support this historic bill.

Take Action!

Pleaseattend the public hearing before the Energy, Utilities and Technology Committee and speak in support of LD 1649.

When: Wednesday,March 16, 1:00pm
Where: Room 211 of the
Cross Office Building in Augusta

If you can’t attend, please contactthe Energy, Utilities and Technology Committee andurge them to support LD 1649.The link abovesends you to the committeeinformation.Click on each legislator’s name to get their contact information.

LD 1649 would give Maine a bigboost: it ensures that in the next five years Maine willhave more than ten times more solar installed than we have today from rooftopsto solar farms.

If you can, please come early and show your support for solar power in the morning:

Between 8:30-9:15amwe will meet atNRCM’s officefor an introduction. There is a parking garage and lots of parking near the NRCMoffice, which is across from the State House. Then at 9:30am we’lldon yellow solar t-shirts and walk over to the State House together so you can speak directly with your legislators about solar power. At 11:30am we’ll returnto NRCM’s office for pizza before walkingover to the public hearing that begins at 1:00pm.

If you can help build a solar-powered future for Maine by making your voice heard in Augusta on March 16,please RSVP today. It’s okay if you can only come for part of the day!
