The health of our democracy and the protection of Maine wildlife both depend on engaged, informed citizens. At Maine Audubon we want every eligible voter to have the opportunity to cast their ballot this November. Planning ahead can help ensure your participation in this essential aspect of our democracy.

- Information on Early and Absentee Voting in Maine:
- Absentee ballots must be requested by 5 pm on Thursday, October 30.

Disability Rights Maine’s Voting Access web page has information about access to polling places, registering to vote, and casting a ballot.
In addition to local elections, Maine voters will cast their votes on two separate statewide referendums. An overview of the two questions from the State of Maine can be found on the State’s website here, along with the State’s detailed Maine Citizen’s Guide to the Referendum Election (PDF).
We hope that you find this information useful, and that everyone eligible to vote can do so safely and efficiently.
