We expect to accept between 20-30 artists.

An open reception for artists: Saturday, November 23

Drop off dates: Work must be delivered to the Visitor Center at Gilsland Farm, Falmouth, between  Tuesday, November 12, 2024 and Sunday, November 17, 10 am-4 pm

Does my submission need to be new work?
No.  New work is welcome but not required.

Does my submission have to be a bird?
We hope your work will feature a bird or birds, from realistic to abstract. Mediums accepted include: paint (watercolor, acrylic, oil), photography, ceramic, fiber, and mixed media.

What are the size requirements?
All work must be able to be hung on the wall and be ready for hanging when delivered (no gallery clips please). Maximum size: 18″ x 18″ or 16″ x 20″  including the frame.

Is there a price requirement?
No, you may price your work as you wish, but understand that our visitors respond best to prices between $100 and $400.

Maine Audubon requests 20% of the sale price to cover Maine sales tax and our expenses. 80% of the sale price will go to the artist. If you would like to contribute a higher percentage, we can take that information at the time of the drop off.

Will you accept sculpture?
We cannot accept free-standing 3-dimensional sculpture. We will consider lightweight relief sculptures that can fit on our gallery walls without reinforcements.

Can I submit work on paper?
Yes, as long as it is ready to hang on a picture hook on the wall or you provide an alternate hanging system. No clip frames, please.

Questions? Please email art@maineaudubon.org.

We reserve the right to refuse any works that do not fall within the above guidelines upon drop-off at the Gilsland Farm Visitor Center even after acceptance to the show.
