Maine Bird Atlas

The Maine Bird Atlas was a collaborative effort led by Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, with major contributions from Maine Natural History Observatory, Maine Audubon, Biodiversity Research Institute, and thousands of volunteers. The atlas is not only a bird book, it represents one of the largest natural history collaborations ever undertaken in Maine.

Learn more about the atlas, find out how to purchase a book, or join us at a celebratory event in December!

Maine Audubon is excited to announce the opening of an All Persons Trail at Gilsland Farm Audubon Center in Falmouth which allows visitors to experience wildlife in forest, edge, and estuary habitat.
