Roundup: Whistleblower Joel Clement’s Talk at Maine Audubon

On March 15, we hosted federal whistleblower Joel Clement at Gilsland Farm as part of our Speaker Series. This event sold out faster than any Speaker Series event we have held to date, and the room was electric.

Billed as “Silencing Science: An Insider’s Take on the Trump Administration’s Efforts to Undermine Federal Climate Policy,” the event featured Joel, former director of the U.S. Interior Department’s Office of Policy Analysis and a Maine native. Over the course of 90 minutes, Joel shared the experiences that compelled him to speak out, discussed current policy issues, and answered audience questions.

The discussion was introduced by Maine Audubon Senior Policy & Advocacy Specialist Eliza Donoghue. You can watch the full presentation:

Prior to the event, Joel was interviewed at Gilsland Farm by WCSH’s Rob Caldwell for 207.
