Each year, we gather for this special day in Augusta, discussing pressing issues, learning some effective techniques for talking to our legislators — and then hitting the halls to do some real lobbying for Maine’s environment.
On April 4, the Legislature will be wrapping up its work, but important initiatives will still be on the table: BONDS! We’ll need your help conveying to legislators the importance of proposed bonds that would fund wastewater and road infrastructure improvements critical to keeping our coastal and inland waters clean.

We’ll send a full schedule to everyone who signs up closer to the day, but briefly: We’ll get started at 8:30 am in the Cross Cafe (across from the State House), where you’ll be briefed on the issues and learn lobbying tips. Then we’ll walk to State House to speak to our legislators. We’ll wrap up around 12 with a Clean Water Rally!
This is a great opportunity to learn how to effectively lobby your legislators and — more importantly — to advocate on behalf of clean water for Maine people, wildlife, and habitat.
