Before summer truly comes to a close, we wanted to thank our Gilsland Farm summer camp families for a fantastic summer and share a few favorite memories.
Camp days offer so many different ways to engage with the natural world, learn about wildlife, and have fun with friends. Like learning to use binoculars to observe a flock of turkeys,
embracing teachable moments,
collaborating on nature-inspired art,
or digging into stewardship projects.
The pandemic certainly posed some challenges this summer, but it also pushed us to hold camp almost completely outdoors and we finished the summer in the newly built outdoor classroom.
Many thanks to our fantastic team of summer camp educators, whose creativity and flexibility made this summer possible. To our campers, we hope your school year is off to a great start and we hope to see you back at Gilsland Farm soon!
