Climate Action Plan Released Today!

The day has finally arrived. After more than a year of hard work, Governor Mills and the Maine Climate Council are prepared to release the Climate Action Plan (read the latest plan here).

You’ve undoubtedly heard from us about this plan, whether it was touting the work of Maine Audubon’s Advocacy Director Eliza Donoghue on the Natural and Working Lands Working Group, our Director of Conservation Sally Stockwell’s work on the Science and Technical Subcommittee, our Climate Spotlight presentation series, or our numerous invitations to Climate Council meetings and webinars, the development of this Plan has been a huge lift and sets the stage for environmental and economic progress.

We’ll be watching the Governor and others, including John Kerry, the newly-designated United States Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, along with Climate Council members and staff, for the announcement today. We were also thrilled to help organize a Thank You letter in the Bangor Daily News, signed by more than 65 Maine businesses and organizations.
