Woodland Owner Appreciation Day 2026

Join Maine Audubon’s Director of Sally Stockwell as she leads a fish and wildlife-friendly forestry walk for landowners during this event as well as have materials about the Forestry for Maine Birds and Forests for Maine Fish programs.

Woodland owners with 10+ acres of woodlands are invited to gather annually with a team of woodlands experts for a day of learning, lunch, and connections. Much of Maine’s forests are privately owned, and this event provides landowners with resources to help their woodlands thrive now and for years to come.

This day of celebration and education includes guided forest walks with local foresters, biologists, and conservationists, as well as time to network with other landowners. Attendees will have the opportunity to talk with resource professionals to ask questions and discuss goals for their land. Lunch is provided.
