Pond Year – Online Program
Maine’s lakes and ponds exceed in number and total area the lakes of all the other New England states combined, covering over 1 million acres. These thousands of freshwater lakes and ponds are a vital ecological and economic cornerstone, supporting 70 percent of Maine wildlife at different stages in their life cycles. Join us for an ecological journey through the four seasons of a Maine pond to discover its unique natural history, from microscopic producers to apex predators.
