Accessible Beginner Birding at Gilsland Farm
Accessible Beginner Birding is inclusive, accessible, and designed for true beginner birders. Our route will be a loop covering approximately 900 feet. We’ll travel slowly on flat gravel and compacted lawn. We’ll make frequent stops, with seats available at all stops. This outing will focus on watching and listening to birds at our feeders and near the pond and meadow. There will be instructions for using binoculars and tips for birding by ear. Binoculars will be provided. Accessible restrooms are available in the Visitor Center, and there is van-accessible parking near the beginning of our route.
Please reach out to Field Naturalist Stacia Brezinski with questions or concerns: sbrezinski@maineaudubon.org.
