What information does Maine Audubon collect?

We do not collect personally identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information to us. Providing such information is strictly voluntary.

How Maine Audubon uses your information

Maine Audubon may use your information to process and respond to inquiries and for the purposes for which you provided the information, such as to process donations, register or renew you as a member or receive information about a project.

All email addresses share with us are for Maine Audubon use only and we will never rent or sell your email address.

Should any changes be made to the ways in which we use personally identifiable information, Maine Audubon will take reasonable measures to obtain e-mail consent from you. We will also post the changes to our use of personally identifiable information on our site at least 30 days prior to a change.

Non-Personal Information

Certain non-personal information about visits is recorded by the standard operation of the Internet servers on which this site is hosted. How we use images on our website:

  • Where text or images are posted on our site with the permission of the original copyright holder, a copyright statement appears at the bottom of the page or in the caption of the photograph.
  • We frequently photograph and video record Maine Audubon events, camps, and other programs. We use these documents on our website, in print or on other public sites.
  • In the case of a public program we do so without obtaining the permission of the persons being photographed
  • In the case of preschool programs and camps, we explicitly obtain media releases which give permission to utilize photographs of a parent’s dependent for our promotional purposes only.
