  • Saturday Morning Bird Walks

    Join us each Saturday for an easy stroll through Maine Audubon’s Gilsland Farm Sanctuary. We will walk the property looking for birds, wildlife and plants.

    Bring your binoculars and a field guide if you have one. Please dress to be comfortable outside for two hours.

    We meet near the main parking lot. If you arrive late we are typically by the pond for the first 15-20 minutes before heading out.

    Unless otherwise indicated, all walks are from 7:00 – 8:30 AM.  Rubber boots or waterproof shoes are recommended due to wet grass and occasional muddy conditions.  In consideration of wildlife and fellow birders, no pets please on the bird walks.

    Saturday, May 3:  Hirundo Wildlife Refuge, Old Town

    Take I-95 to exit 197; go 4.75 mi. west on Rt. 43; look for large red signs on the right; enter refuge at gate 1, proceed ½ mi. to Pine Tree parking area
