Summer Camp at Gilsland Farm

GRADES K-5

Monday – Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

  • Summer Camp: Where the Wild Things Are - Two Week Camp
    • Monday, Jun 20  – Friday, July 1
    • Child Members: $570 Child Non-members: $720

    Join us for a two week adventure where campers will discover the lay of the land of Gilsland Farm, Scarborough Marsh and Mackworth Island!  We will uncover the mysteries of how animals travel from habitat to habitat and how we fit into their world!

  • Summer Camp: Threatened and Endangered Wildlife – Don’t be a Dodo!
    • Monday July 11 – Friday July 15
    • Child Members: $290 Child Non-members: $365

    Did you know…90% of Maine is covered by forest and there are more than 200 species of birds in our state!  In this session we will discover the forests of Maine and the many species that depend on trees for survival.

  • Summer Camp: Threatened and Endangered Wildlife – No Trout About It!
    • Monday,July 18 – Friday, July 22
    • Child Members: $290 Child Non-members: $365

    There is no doubt about it we have some of the most interesting salt and freshwater animals!  Come create some memorable experiences by playing games and creating different projects about loons, trout, plovers, and terns!  We will visit Mackworth Island this week and make a plover of you yet!

  • Summer Camp: Buzz-worthy Wildlife Two Week Camp
    • Monday, August 8 – Friday, August 19
    • Child Members: $570 Child Non-members: $720

    Whats all the buzz about!  We are going nuts about growing native and learning about pollinators and the species that they help. Come join us in this two week series and we will take a trip on the bus to the Farmers Market in Portland to see all the local foods and goods produced by Mainers.

    Ready, Set, Go!  Join us in finding out which Maine animals will cross the finish line first!  We will play games, go on hikes, do crafts and make discoveries.

    • Monday Jul 11 – Friday Jul 15

    Join us for a week long adventure filled with hiking, hands-on experiments, crafts and games. We will explore the diverse habitats of Fields Pond with a focus on the majestic forest and brilliant meadow while learning about what species depend on these places for survival.

  • Summer Nature Camp at Fields Pond: Keeping the Balance
    • Monday Aug 8  – Friday Aug 12
      Child Members: $250.00 Child Non-members: $300.00

    This week we will immerse ourselves into the diverse habitats of Fields Pond with a focus on native plants and animals and how to encourage a nature balance in and around your home. Additionally we will learn how to use screen time in a focused way as a citizen scientist.
