Peony art exhibit on view now

Peony paintings on view at Gilsland Farm

In celebration of Peony Day on June 14, Maine Audubon is proud to present an art exhibition featuring seven local artists–Corinne Bongiovanni (Windham), Diane Dahlke (Cumberland), Varvara Harmon (Windham), Dawn Maron (South Portland), Libby Sipe (Topsham), Bonnie Spiegel, and Liz Wisecup (Windham). You can find the show in Gilsland Farm’s Environmental Center, near the Nature Store.

The show has been guest-curated by exhibiting artist Corinne Bongiovanni, who graciously donated her time and expertise to make the Peony Bloom & Ice Cream Social even more special. During her career, Corinne has helped to open two galleries, created art auctions for charities, and organized art workshops and demos, including for Portland gallery Roux & Cyr.

The peony paintings were created just for this occasion; all work is available for purchase and funds will directly benefit Maine Audubon. Art and nature go together like ice cream and friends, right? So stop by and enjoy the beautiful paintings when you visit the Peony Garden this month.

On view through July 7.
