The Road to After: A Book Reading and Nature Journaling with Rebekah Lowell

Join us for a special retail book reading and nature journal event featuring local author and artist Rebekah Lowell!

Lowell’s poignant debut novel in verse is a portrait of healing, as a young girl named Lacey rediscovers life and the soothing power of nature after being freed from her abusive father. Through the power of nature journaling she begins to grow in unexpected ways, feeling her world open up and blossom into something new and exciting.

Written by Maine author, illustrator and painter Rebekah Lowell, The Road to After is an illustrated middle-grade novel written in verse about how the beauty of the natural world can help transform our lives.

Rebekah will perform a reading of her book and then lead a nature journaling class. Geared for middle schoolers, but all ages are welcome.

Supplies – Bring your favorite artistic supplies. Kids nature journals will be provided to take home. Sunflower Cupcakes will also be provided.
