Forestry for Maine Birds

Forestry for Maine Birds Talk

Ever wonder who lives in your forest and what you can do to help them?  If so, please join Sally Stockwell of Maine Audubon and staff from the Maine Forest Service for a Forestry for Maine Birds presentation on how to manage your woodland to enhance habitat for birds and other wildlife.  We will discuss the importance of Maine forestlands for breeding birds, brook trout, and other wildlife; introduce you to 20 priority birds and the forest types and features they need to nest and raise their young; walk you through a simple bird habitat assessment you can do on your own; and connect you with professionals that can help you develop a wildlife-friendly forest management plan.
Date and Time:  Monday, December 6, 6-7 pm via Zoom
