Resources
for Chapters
Maine
Audubon Resources
Chapter Task force
The Task Force first began its work in March, 2003 by examining the
current dues share situation and its impact on both the state organization
and the individual chapters. Other issues included liability insurance
and state organization/chapter relations. The Task Force continues
to
meet approximately every six weeks. For more information, contact the Membership
Director.
Web Sites
Maine Audubon is pleased to offer chapters their own web pages on
this site. Click here to see an example
of the pages.
We also offer free technical support, training, and
web editing software so
that chapter volunteers can maintain
those
pages. Contact the IT
Administrator for
more information.
Advocacy & Action Alerts
Dedicated members like you, with voices raised in unison in support
of wildlife and habitat are the foundation of much of the recent success
of conservation efforts in Maine; and if we continue to work together,
those voices are the key to our chances for being even more successful
in the coming years. We
need your help.
We also have lots to offer Chapters, including
a binder of Lobbying & Advocacy Reference Materials and support
from the Conservation Department staff. Contact the Grassroots
Coordinator for more information, resources, or
materials.

Member Recruitment Handbook - as announced at a recent
Chapter Task Force meeting, a Membership Recruitment Handbook was compiled
and distributed to chapters in January 2004. This handbook covers
topics including planning your membership recruitment campaign, making
personal contact with
potential
