Homeschool
Programs
Complement homeschool education with hands-on
discovery programs at Gilsland
Farm Audubon Center. Students will work with peers to uncover some
of the mysteries of science and nature. Most sessions include a service
project. These programs are intended for students only. Children should
be prepared to spend time outdoors. Please bring a water bottle, lunch
and appropriate clothing for outdoor adventures.
How do animals and plants prepare in fall to survive the Maine
winter?
Come explore the seeds plants produce in the fall. Students grades
1-4 discover animal homes and learn how these animals prepare for
winter. See first hand the birds that migrate through our sanctuary
to spend winter in warmer climates, while finding out the fascinating
process of traveling thousands of miles with the seasons. Come join
us for experiential learning through hands-on activities, hikes, and
creative projects.
