Come visit us in person and register at Gilsland Farm Audubon Center in Falmouth.

 

General Information

Participants in adult sessions at Hog Island Audubon Camp must be 18 years of age or older. Age requirements for youth and teens are specified in session descriptions. Participants must be in good health. Special diets can sometimes be accommodated; please check with registrar for specifics.

To reserve your space, the registrar must receive a completed application and nonrefundable deposit of $100.The balance is due within 60 days of your receipt of confirmation letter. Registration forms received after April 1 must be accompanied by full payment to reserve space.

 

Cancellation

The registrar will issue a full refund (less $100 deposit) when notice of cancellation is received in writing 60 or more days prior to session start date. Half of a full refund (less $100 deposit) will be issued for cancellations received in writing between 59 and 30 days prior to session start date. No refund is available for cancellations after then. However, if a canceling registrant finds a replacement, Maine Audubon will credit the canceling registrant’s deposit and payment to the replacement. Maine Audubon reserves the right to alter itinerary and particular arrangements, or to substitute similar itinerary or arrangements, at no penalty. If Maine Audubon cancels a session, it will issue full refunds of deposits or payments, constituting full settlement to the participants.

 

Travel Information and Insurance

Sessions may require a minimum number of participants in order to be conduct ed. For this reason, please confirm your program prior to purchasing airline tickets or making other travel arrangements. We recommend trip-cancellation insurance to protect your investment in case of illness or injury. This can be obtained through a local insurance or travel agent or by calling Maine Audubon for an application.

 

Directions to Hog Island

From the south: Leave the Maine Turnpike (I-95) at Exit 52 (Falmouth/Freeport to I-295). At the end of the turnpike access road, bear right and pick up I-295 North. Use Exit 28 (Bath/Brunswick) to U.S. Route 1, then exit onto Coastal Route 1 and drive through Brunswick, Bath, and Wiscasset to Damariscotta. In Damariscotta, exit onto U.S. Business Route 1 and, after 1.6 miles, turn right onto Biscay Road at the traffic light at McDonald's. After 5.1 miles turn left onto Route 32 at the 'T' intersection. After 1.4 miles turn right onto Keene Neck Road. The sanctuary is 1.6 miles down at the end of the road.

From the north: From U.S. Route 1 in Waldoboro, turn left (south) onto Route 32. After 7.6 miles turn left onto Keene Neck Road. The sanctuary is 1.6 miles down at the end of the road.
