Join us on a tour of the Penobscot River Restoration Project to learn about this unprecedented effort to restore healthy populations of Atlantic salmon, American shad, and nine other species of sea-run fish to Maine’s largest watershed. Migratory songbirds and fish-eating birds such as eagles, osprey and great blue heron will benefit from newly opened stretches of the Penobscot River. Learn more about how a free flowing river benefits both wildlife and people, while enjoying walks and bird watching along the riverbanks. Bring a bag lunch and binoculars/camera are encouraged but optional.
