Our Mission & Record of Achievement
|
Conserving Maine's WildlifeMaine Audubon is the only organization that works to conserve Maine’s wildlife in three ways: providing hands-on environmental education for people of all ages, conducting research and wildlife conservation projects statewide and taking action to help shape effective science-based conservation policy.
Project PuffinThe National Audubon Society started Project Puffin in 1973 in an effort to learn how to restore puffins to historic nesting islands in the Gulf of Maine. This project, based in Ithaca, New York and Maine Audubon's Todd Wildlife Sanctuary, serves as an excellent example of how people can have a positive effect on their environment. |
