Valuing the Nature of Maine

 

Project Puffin

The National Audubon Society started Project Puffin in 1973 in an effort to learn how to restore puffins to historic nesting islands in the Gulf of Maine. This project, based in Ithaca, New York and Maine Audubon's Todd Wildlife Sanctuary, serves as an excellent example of how people can have a positive effect on their environment.
