After a friend on twitter (@wheeliesmom – thanks again!) sent us a report of some entangled nesting signage on a beach we want to send a reminder that plover nesting season has begun and here is how you can help:
- keep dogs off beaches (or leashed if needed where legal) and be cautious
- contact us directly if you see a problem with management of nesting areas
With only 33 pairs in Maine every pair is precious and we desire to do all we can to help protect them.
